Rules of Attendance for Online Course

RULES FOR ATTENDANCE OF ONLINE COURSE VIA THE ZOOM PLATFORM


1.      GDPR- Attendance to be made in private, no other persons within the room including children and pets. Please note: you cannot be          responsible for anyone during this course. This includes looking after children. You cannot work from home whilst in attendance                  (treat it as if you were at a venue for the course).

2.     Please make sure you have your home phones turned off whilst in attendance.

3.      Complete focus on this course is required so no home working whilst in attendance.

4.      No screen backgrounds to be used as we have to ensure you are in an enclosed room and in privacy whilst in attendance. This is a               confidential course with no recordings being made whatsoever. Zoom embeds a user’s personal information into the audio as an                 inaudible watermark therefore, if a recording is shared without permission, Zoom will help identify which participant recorded the               meeting. No screenshots or photos of the screen /course or participants.

5.      You must turn off the volume when asked as sometimes there is noise interference when many people are on a zoom call.

6.      Please be aware that this course has a strict time schedule which means you must be on time starting the course and returning                 from you breaks. The course starts at 9am and finishes at 3.30pm.  Please ensure you are in the waiting room prior to the start time             of the course as the room will be locked once it has started. On the screen it will say ‘please wait the meeting host will let you in’,                 please be patient as registering clients on an individual basis takes some time. Please do not eat whilst on the platform, you will be             having a break of 10 mins during the morning at 10:50am then lunch at 12:30pm for 20 mins and a later break at 2:15pm for 10 mins.

7.      If we suspect that an attendee is impaired including tiredness /impaired by alcohol or drug/ or for any non-compliance you will be               removed from the course. If we notice that you are working from home, which also includes looking at emails, you will be removed             from the course. You will not be entitled to a refund.

8.      No mobiles phones/computer or televisions to be on whilst in attendance (except if your are using your device to view the pdf file of           the booklet).

9.      You must attend ready, fully clothed (not in bed clothes) wearing no hats and scarfs and focused on the delivery of the course.

10.     In order to complete the course you must stay focused throughout the whole day, you must be visible on the screen for the whole             duration. Most importantly you must participate!

11.      Please ensure that you have a pen and writing paper available together with your course booklet. The booklet will be sent to you

          the week prior to your course start date. Please do not open the A5 brown envelope until on the zoom call. If you do not receive the            booklet within 3 days of the course start date, please do contact us.

12.     We have arranged a trial session for you to attend to ensure your device connects. This will take only 10/15 minutes. This is a quick                 introduction on how to use the platform and further information on the rules of attendance. To join the course please click on the               zoom link sent to your email or enter the information into your browser. Depending on which device you use, you may need to                     download the Zoom as an app, then click on ‘join a meeting’ and then input the meeting ID and password (found on your email).                 This will take you to a waiting room where you can check on you speaker, please do be patient and wait at the screen until your                   tutor transfers you into the main room for the course. 

13.     Please ensure you are ready in the waiting room. It is essential you are in the waiting room on time as any late arrivals will not be                 able to complete the course. Each client will be brought into the main room to meet the trainer.   You will then be required to show             your photographic I.D to the trainer (ie: Passport/ID Card, Staff /Bus Pass), by revealing the paperwork to the webcam on your                       computer. The trainer will then complete the Registration Form and then send you back to the waiting room where you be until the          start of the course.

14.   Please call 0333 772 1707 if you endure any problems with the system. We will not be able to assist once the course becomes live.

15.    Non-attendance of either class will mean that the course has not been completed and a non-completion certificate will be issued.

16.    Please note this platform is best to be used on Google Chrome. ACE Driver Safety will not be held responsible for your device used or          your WIFI connection.

17.   We recommend that you join the trial session provided as well as doing a practice run with a family member or friend before the                  course starts. Please make sure that you have a good wifi connection and that your device is compatible with audio and camera.

        Your device will also need to be fully charged. If you lose connection during the meeting please call the office immediately so that                we can inform the trainer to allow you to join the meeting.
